Affiliate Networks

Australian Affiliate Networks

In Australia there are three or four major affiliate networks that any self respecting affiliate will be a member of:

All are marginally different and potentially attract different types of affiliates, here are our assessments of them gathered over the time we've dealt with them.

ClixGalore.com.au

The network equivalent of the discount store, stack 'em high, sell 'em cheap. Thousands of merchants from around the World and tens of thousands of affiliates, again from around the World.

As a merchant this is the entry level network, however there are three service levels you can choose from depending on your needs.

At its very basic you can set up your affiliate programme for $150 and that includes the credit which will be used to pay your affiliates. It's a self service network so its up to you at the most basic level to decide on your programme rates, provide the sales copy, and creativesa and it's up to you to manage your affiliates.

Dgm Australia

Proabably the higher end of the top three main networks we deal with in Australia. Their relationship with affiliates is a little more hands-on that the other networks and I imagine that would be the same for their dealing with merchants.

Set-up fees are higher with Dgm Australia, certainly than ClixGalore, we're unsure of their recurring commission. Most programmes require approval from the account manager and/or merchant and so tends to attract the higher end affiliate.

CommissionMonster

An affiliate network that sits somewhere inbetween ClixGalore and Dgm Australia.

Following their decision to stop supporting reward and cashback affiliates and from other reports I'm afraid we're removing the "Recommended" badge from CommissionMonster, probably worth considering Clix Galore or Commission Factory over them now.

CheckMyStats.com.au

Although we're an affiliate member of this network we've never actually used it, partly because of its gastly user interface but primarily due to the fact that most merchants are on ine of the other three networks and with similar rates.

This network tends to have more lead based programmes than sale based programmes and this probably has some bearing on the type of affiliate that is has, although this is pure speculation on our behalf.

Commission Factory

A young affiliate network trying to change the face of affiliate networks in Australia. We've had some initial dealings with Commission Factory and so far I'm impressed with their attitude towards affiliates, let's hope it remains that way!

Still a little too early to earn a "Recommended" badge, but let's hope not too far off.

Overseas Affiliate Networks

If your business is wanting to attract sales and leads from overseas then you have potentially an endless list of affiliate networks to choose from, the list below is a very small subset of the English based larger affiliate networks:

  • Google Affiliate Network
  • Commission Junction
  • Linkshare

Being an Australian based affiliate we obviously prefer homegrown networks primarily for the ability to be paid in Australian dollars, avoid timezone differences and to be able to charge GST to the networks. we're members of all of the above networks but haven't had enough experience dealing with them to be able to comment. As small fry to them their relationship with us is limited to say the least.
